Meet The Team

With over 20 years of experience as a board-certified general surgeon, Dr. Donald Balder specializes in helping patients with weight loss and achieving their aesthetic goals. Dr. Balder graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a degree in chemistry. He then went on to obtain his medical degree at the University of Illinois in Chicago and completed his surgery residency at Brown University in Rhode Island. Dr. Balder is dedicated to bringing his knowledge and expertise to as many people as possible, which is why he holds state licensure in Mississippi, Louisiana, and South Carolina. He maintains board certification with the American College of Surgeons and has received the designation of a fellow of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
